Samuel Miller is a Long Island Singer-Songwriter.
"Fall Ball" is about a professor he had for a humanities class during his time at SUNY Geneseo. However, Samuel Miller didn't do very well in that class.
At that time, Sam was going through a rough time with life. Schoolwork was the last thing on his mind. Despite it all, this particular professor made a huge difference in Samuel's life and he had learned a lot of academical things from her. One could say this song is a thank you and an apology for failing her class even though she didn't fail Samuel.
